How to Fold an Origami Stamp Case

Step 1. Start with a sheet half again as tall as it is wide, white side up. Fold it in half lengthways, then unfold.

Step 2. Fold it in half across, then unfold.

Step 3. Fold the top left corner down so it lies on the long crease.

Step 4. Fold the top right corner down the same way. The corners meet on the crease.

Step 5. Fold the bottom left corner up to the crease.

Step 6. Fold the bottom right corner up the same way.

Step 7. Fold the top point down to where the corners meet.

Step 8. Fold the bottom point up to where the corners meet.

Step 9. Fold the top edge down to the crease across the middle.

Step 10. Fold the bottom edge up to the crease across the middle.

Step 11. Turn the paper over.

Step 12. Fold the left short side to the center line.

Step 13. Fold the right short side to the center line. The two sides touch.

Step 14. Fold the bottom half up onto the top half.

Step 15. Turn the case around.

Step 16. Pull out the triangle hidden in one of the pockets and fold it up over the top edge.
