How to Fold an Origami Rooster

Step 1. Start white side up. Fold in half corner to corner, then unfold.

Step 2. Fold in half along the other diagonal, then unfold.

Step 3. Fold one corner to the center.

Step 4. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 5. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 6. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 7. Turn the paper over.

Step 8. Fold one corner of the new square to the center.

Step 9. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 10. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 11. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 12. Turn the paper over.

Step 13. Fold one corner of the new square to the center.

Step 14. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 15. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 16. Fold the next corner to the center.

Step 17. Unfold everything back to the first square, with the four corners folded to the center.

Step 18. Turn the square so its edges are level.

Step 19. Push the four sides in so each corner square stands up. Fold the middle square in half, press two corners together as the sail, and flatten the other two side by side as the hull.

Step 20. Turn the paper over. The hull is level at the bottom and the sail points up.

Step 21. Turn the left point of the hull inside out and down over the outside. This is the head.

Step 22. Turn the model so it stands on its legs and the tip of its tail. The sail is the tail.
