How to Fold an Origami Pocket Book

All 32 steps

  1. Step 1. Start white side up. Fold in half corner to corner, then unfold.

  2. Step 2. Fold in half along the other diagonal, then unfold.

  3. Step 3. Fold one corner to the center.

  4. Step 4. Fold the next corner to the center.

  5. Step 5. Fold the next corner to the center.

  6. Step 6. Fold the next corner to the center.

  7. Step 7. Turn the paper over.

  8. Step 8. Fold one corner of the new square to the center.

  9. Step 9. Fold the next corner to the center.

  10. Step 10. Fold the next corner to the center.

  11. Step 11. Fold the next corner to the center.

  12. Step 12. Turn the paper over.

  13. Step 13. Fold one corner of the new square to the center.

  14. Step 14. Fold the next corner to the center.

  15. Step 15. Fold the next corner to the center.

  16. Step 16. Fold the next corner to the center.

  17. Step 17. Unfold everything back to the first square, with the four corners folded to the center.

  18. Step 18. Turn the square so its edges are level.

  19. Step 19. Push the four sides in along the creases so each corner square stands up. Press the two top legs flat toward the upper right and the two bottom legs toward the lower left.

  20. Step 20. Fold the model in half behind along its long diagonal, with the points outside.

  21. Step 21. Pull out the flap hidden between the two front points and open it flat above the boat.

  22. Step 22. Fold its top point down to the middle of the top edge.

  23. Step 23. Fold the left point in to the same spot.

  24. Step 24. Fold the right point in to the same spot. The front is now a square.

  25. Step 25. Turn the paper over.

  26. Step 26. Pull out the flap on this side and open it flat.

  27. Step 27. Fold its point down to the middle of the edge.

  28. Step 28. Fold one side point in to the same spot.

  29. Step 29. Fold the other side point in. The two squares are back to back.

  30. Step 30. Fold this square in half, top edge down to the bottom edge.

  31. Step 31. Turn the paper over.

  32. Step 32. Fold this square in half the same way.
