How to Fold an Origami Double Popper

All 12 steps

Step 1. Start with a sheet twice as long as it is wide. Fold it in half the long way, then unfold.
Step 2. Fold it in half the short way, then unfold.
Step 3. Fold the top left corner to the center line.
Step 4. Fold the top right corner to the center line.
Step 5. Fold the bottom left corner to the center line.
Step 6. Fold the bottom right corner to the center line.
Step 7. Fold the top half behind.
Step 8. Fold the left corner on the fold down to the center line through both layers, then unfold.
Step 9. Fold the right corner the same way, then unfold.
Step 10. Unfold the top half again.
Step 11. Push the two side points in at the middle crease and fold the top half down in front, so the paper collapses into a diamond.
Step 12. Fold the left half behind the right half.
Done. Hold the two loose points and snap your arm down. It pops twice (Browne, Pleasant Work for Busy Fingers, 1896).
